bring your own birth

the full labor and birth support package.

  • 1 complimentary get to know you meeting.
  • 2 prenatal meetings virtually or in-person prior to birth; additional meetings can be added for a fee if time allows.
  • Unlimited phone, text and email support during your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum period.
  • 24 hour on-call birth doula support beginning at 37 weeks or at the start of labor, whichever comes first.
  • Full support with no time restrictions during labor, up until 1-2 hours after birth.
  • 1 in-home visit from your doula during your first few weeks postpartum, up to 4 hours.
  • Education on comfort measures, stages of labor, positioning throughout labor, birth-plan building, resources for postpartum preparation, basic infant care and feeding support, and lending library!

Whether you're a first time parent or expecting baby #4, this package is for you! I understand that each birth experience is completely unique, and I will always support your individual preferences and goals in order to ensure you feel safe and heard every step of the way.

During our first complimentary consultation, we will discuss your vision for your birth experience, as well as any previous births and other valuable information for your doula to know.

As your birth doula, I will provide you with resources, assist with comfort measures and positioning during labor and birth, offer emotional support, and guide you to stay in touch with your intuition, and trust in your body throughout your pregnancy and birth experience.

As January Harshe once said, "I do not care what kind of birth you have... a home birth, scheduled cesarean, epidural hospital birth, or if you birth alone in the woods next to a baby deer. I care that you had options, that you were supported in your choices, and that you were respected".

home sweet home

the full postpartum support package.

  • Unlimited phone, text and email support.
  • 1 in-home visit before birth to prepare your space together, if hired before time of birth.
  • 2 in-home, check-in visits during your baby’s first week at home.
  • 4, four-hour, additional postpartum home visits. This can be broken up as you prefer.
  • Support in making sure everyone is fed, showered, and well-rested.
  • Newborn care and/or comfort care for the birthing person as needed.
  • Meal/snack preparation and light housekeeping.
  • Hands-on support with breastfeeding/newborn feeding.

It's been said that postpartum doulas "mother the mother". The goal as your postpartum doula is to tailor your support in a way that will best suit your specific needs. Whether you really just want a good nap and a shower, or you're looking for guidance on newborn feeding, infant care basics, and postpartum resources, I've got your back.

Prior to the birth of your baby, we can discuss how you would like to split up the home visits, and chat more about preferences on where I can plan to focus my time as your doula. Once your baby is born we can still modify those preferences as you both adjust and settle in.

Duration and number of shifts can be customized. Contact Brit directly  to ask about less/more hours.

$750.00 as-is (a discounted bundle price!)

Virtual support

virtual support for pregnancy, birth, and postpartum*

  • Virtual support via text, phone call, email, zoom meetings, or FaceTime is available for anyone who prefers solely virtual support due to health or safety concerns, convenience, etc.

  • Virtual services can be offered throughout your pregnancy, during labor and birth, and throughout your postpartum period to answer questions, provide resources, guidance, and emotional support.

Virtual support can be great for those who don't necessarily want someone with them in-person, but are still looking for the emotional and informational support of a doula. I'm happy to discuss common interventions, how to prepare for labor and birth in different settings, review birth positions and comfort measures, chat before or after your prenatal appointments, talk about how your postpartum period is going, or help you to find reliable resources.

*Virtual support packages DO NOT include in-person birth support.

Packages:

Prenatal Education & Birth-Plan Building:

2 virtual meetings, up to 2 hours each.

  • Meeting #1 will focus on your vision for your birth, and topics such as common interventions, preparing for your birth place, how to achieve your birth goals, and any other topics of interest. We will take all of your birth preferences and discuss how to incorporate them into an effective, yet comprehensive birth plan that can be shared with your care team, and your support person(s).

  • Meeting #2 will focus on stages of labor, what to expect as you progress, how to utilize comfort measures and certain positioning throughout your labor, how your partner can support you, and any other final questions you might have before your birth.

At a Birth-Plan Building session we will discuss what you might want to include depending on your birth place, your goals and preferences, and overall vision for your birth.

Birth-Plan Building includes follow-up email support up until birth, to ensure you feel confident and prepared going into your big day.
